I’m a nurse, just like you.
I’ve walked hospital halls with tired feet and a full heart, poured everything I had into caring for others, and still found myself wondering: Is this all there is? I’ve loved the work—and yet, I’ve felt the weight of it, too. The loneliness. The burnout. The ache of knowing I was made for more than just surviving the next shift. The loneliness I carried even though I am surrounded by people but still feel alone.
That’s where Rekindled Nurse was born—from the desire to support other nurses to stay & stay well in this profession through community and unmatched resources. From the stories we carry and the stories we long to live.
Who I Am & Why Rekindled Nurse Exists
I’m not here with a magic fix. I’m here with a firestarter.
Rekindled Nurse is a community-led movement helping nurses reconnect with purpose, courage, and one another. It’s where your story matters—not just the one that got you into nursing, but the one you’re writing now. Through workshops, peer groups, transformational events and community care, I offer spaces for nurses to be seen, heard, and human again.
My expertise isn’t just in clinical practice—it’s in holding space for growth, grief, and genuine transformation. I bring storytelling, reflection, mentorship, and a fierce belief that nurses deserve more than burnout.
Why This Matters
Too many of us are silently carrying the emotional weight of our work. We’re tired of pretending everything is fine. We crave connection, but don’t always know where to find it—especially outside of work.
That’s why Rekindled Nurse matters.Because when nurses are supported, heard, and held in community, everything changes. Our capacity expands. Our joy returns. We remember that we’re not alone—and we never were.
The Power of Gathering
Last month, we hosted the Rekindled Nurse Conference—a sacred space where nurses came together not just to learn, but to belong. We cried. We laughed. We told the truth. The day reminded us that the most powerful thing we can bring to the table is our authentic selves.
Events like this are more than professional development—they’re lifelines. They remind us that connection is the cure. And that community isn't a luxury; it's a necessity.
If you’ve never attended a nursing event that made you feel seen—truly seen—I want that for you. I want you in rooms where your voice matters, where your story is sacred, and where your future as a nurse is not just sustainable, but hopeful.

5 Simple Ways to Rekindle Community and Purpose This Nurses Week
This year, let's do nursing week a little differently! Here are simple ways to rekindle purpose and community into your week:
Tell Your StoryShare a meaningful moment from your nursing journey with a coworker. Vulnerability builds bridges—and it helps you reconnect with your "why."
Ask, “How’s your heart?”Go deeper than “How are you?” when talking to another nurse. Emotional check-ins are powerful tools for community care.
Write Yourself a Thank You NoteYes, you. Acknowledge the courage, compassion, and resilience you show up with daily. Purpose often starts with self-recognition.
Attend a Nursing Event (Big or Small)Whether it's a conference, a local gathering, or a virtual chat—show up somewhere that nourishes your soul, not just your résumé.
Find (or Create) a CircleJoin a peer support group or gather a few trusted coworkers for intentional conversations (coffee chats, happy hours, movie nights, book club for some ideas!). The most meaningful support often starts with a simple invitation.
This Nurses Week, I hope you’ll pause and honor your story—the strength it took to get here and the hope it takes to keep going. And I hope you know this:
You are not alone. You are not too much. And you are far more than your role.
Let’s keep rekindling what matters - YOU!
